how to create automatic transition between menus?

Application: 2ManDVD - Feb 28 2010
answered
Question:Hi
On the begining I dlike to say that 2mandvd is really great app. On MS windows I used to Dvdlab, but on Linux, I think 2mandvd is the best authoring tool.
But I stll miss one feature form DVDlab, or I dont know how to do in 2mandvd. Main site of this project is not in english, so I want to ask about it here.

I dlike to create in my project two menus. First "menu principal" where will be dispaly information about my movie, and will be display in few seconds, and after this time will be automatic tarnsition without any button to nex menu where will be main menu with movie, chapters etc. How to do something like that in 2mandvd? it is reaally possible ? As I see, now it can be achived only by using buuton to the next menu. Coluld you provide this feature in next version on 2mandvd, or tell me how to do now, if it possible?

PS. sorry for mistakes, english is not my native language ;)

Answer:Hi,

You cannot for the moment. The solution is to made a small video with a tool like cinelerra, kdenlive or other and import it as introduction video for your dvd.

1 - Make your video
2 - Import it in your project
3 - Right click on the video
4 - Select as introduction video

Thanks for the answer.

You wrote that this is not possible "for now" so can I predict that this will be possible in the next version? :)

PS. Do you plan include possibility to authoring Blueray video disc in the future?

For bluray yes it is planned ... but i will wait low level tools used by 2ManDVD

For the request of the first function it will not in next release because i have a ton of other thing to do before...

But be patient

Stéphane

I asked because I see benefits of watching video in hight definition, and DVD disc have not enough capacity.

I am waiting for the next version of 2mandvd, and next versions :)
