Can't seem to find the window theme...

Application - Oct 21 2014
answered
Question:Hey there! This theme looks awesome, but I cannot seem to change the window theme. I have extracted the tar.gz file to the folder ~/.themes. When I open up my settings manager, I can change the appearance theme (Picture 1) just fine, but spider void does not even show up in the window manager themes (Picture 2). I'm not exactly sure why. I've looked online, and nowhere suggests that the window manager theme should be stored in a different folder, so I'm not sure what is going on. I'm using Linux Lite 2.0. Any help will be really appreciated, as this theme looks awesome! Thanks in advance mate.

Answer:Yeah, you can leave it in the folder and it should work, but I think the problem stems from the themes incompatibility with your particular OS. The only reason I suggested moving the windows manager to a different folder is if you want to use it with a different panel and start menu, (just for convenience). This theme is meant for Linux Mint Cinnamon 2.0, not Linux Lite 2.0, though you can use the metacity theme and GTK 2/3 on different Linux distros, you won't be able to use the panel and start menu. Sorry if that wasn't the answer you wanted to hear. I looked up the specs for Linux Lite 2.0 and it's system requirements aren't that much different, in fact it has the same processor, RAM, and disk space minimum requirements, the only difference I saw was Cinnamon can operate on an even smaller resolution than your Linux Lite OS, perhaps you might consider switching? Oh, I was also wondering if you are using the Debian version of Linux Lite 2.0 or the Ubuntu?
