| Question: | I'm having trouble getting kmplayer 0.3.11c on Wheezy (Debian 7.6.0) to default to a mode which I'll call fullscreen, although I'm not sure that is the correct terminology. I want the kmplayer window to fill (or almost fill) my screen (it would be nice if I could still use the mouse to open the kde toolbar in that mode, but that is not essential), and I want the image from whatever video I'm watching to fill that kmplayer window.
I've fooled around with the settings for the mplayer window (by going into Configure Windows Behavior --> Window Rules --> Application Settings for Mplayer --> Size and Position) and then setting Maximized horizontally, Maximized vertically, and Fullscreen to Apply Initially and Yes.
When mplayer starts, the window fills the screen, but the image is (presumably) its original size, it is not maximized and does not fill the window.
If I then press [Alt][F3] --> Advanced --> Fullscreen (which "unchecks" Fullscreen), the image does fill the window, which seems couterintuitive to say the least.
Incidentally, if I don't set Fullscreen in the Configure Windows Behavior, I get the same effect: the mmplayer window fills the screen but the image does not fill the window. And then if I click on [Alt][F3] --> Fullscreen, the image fills the window.
(It almost seems like there is a bug here, but some nominal googling has not turned up a report, and I don't feel confident enough yet about declaring it a bug myself.)
Thoughts and help appreciated.
