| Question: | How would I go about installing the GTK-theme, cursor theme, and icon theme without using software that automates this?

| | Answer: | NOTE: Although this should work, I'm not quite sure this is entirely the correct way to do this... Comments appreciated.
First of all, download the GTK-theme and icon theme, and run `tar xzfv <filename>` on them. This will give you two folders, "Azenis" and "Azenis Icons". Create the folders ~/.icons/, ~/.themes/ and ~/.cursors/ if they do not exist. Place the "Azenis" folder into ~/.themes/ and "Azenis Icons" into ~/.icons/. In ~/.themes/Azenis/, there should be a cursors folder - move this to ~/.cursors/Azenis/.
If you have ~/.gtkrc-2.0 and/or ~/.gtkrc.mine files, back them up, if not, create them. Then, edit ~/.gtkrc.mine contain the following line:
gtk-theme-name="Azenis"
gtk-icon-theme-name="Azenis Icons"
Edit ~/.gtkrc-2.0 to contain:
include "~/.themes/Azenis/gtk-2.0/gtkrc"
include "~/.gtkrc.mine"
Edit the following line in the ~/.themes/Azenis/gtk-2.0/gtkrc file:
include "panel.rc"
to
include "~/.themes/Azenis/gtk-2.0/panel.rc"
and add the line:
pixmap_path "~/.themes/Azenis/gtk-2.0"
If these don't work, then change ~ to your home directory (for example, /home/sevis)
Also, add this line to ~/.Xdefaults:
Xcursor.theme: Azenis
If the cursor and icon themes still don't work, run these two commands.
ln -snT ~/.cursors/Azenis/ ~/.cursors/default
ln -snT ~/.icons/Azenis\ Icons/ ~/.icons/default
Restart your X, and you should have all three themes up and running.
