Description:

RAVE X Colors (Formally Mint-X Colors) is a delightful blend of the Mint-X and Zukitwo Themes and some RAVEfinity design, code and colors. Bringing you a NEW unique and beautiful GTK 3 (And 2) desktop theme in your choice of 16 Awesome Refined Colors! Personalize your desktop the way you want it.

Compatibility Note: This theme is a LTS Theme, It is built for Mint 17 LTS and Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. GTK Version 3.10-3.12. Newer versions of GTK may not work. We hope to update it when Mint releases next but until then our hands are tied.

RAVE X is a new experience! its not just some theme in 16 different colors, it brings you a truly radiant desktop theme thanks to the Fusion of the truly fabulous and popular Mint-X and Zukitwo themes topped off with some New RAVEfinity design and code.

RAVE X Colors is a continuation of our Mint X Colors GTK Theme. But with more features and a broader reach. So yes it is the mint theme, But in alot of new colors and with more features. Now you can use the Mint Theme on Ubuntu or any distro you want.

RAVE X Colors Now works with Unity! (Unlike Previous Mint-X Colors Theme) And Includes "New" Colored Window Buttons, Compared to the Grey "X" in the stock one. And Support for having a Light or Dark Panel. On any desktop! Yes you can now have a dark panel in MATE and XFCE!

Supports Multiple Desktops: Including: Cinnamon,Unity,Xfce,MATE (Gnome 2),XFCE,LXDE,Gnome Shell.

Gnome Fallback works but looks ugly so we do not recommend it. We Might fix it up later if we get demand.

Also Included are 7 Different Colors of "Special Edition" Window Boarders Called RAVEfinity-X, These are Built for Cinnamon, MATE and XFCE only.

Supports Dark and Light Panels Based On choosen theme:

RAVE-X Colorname - Light Panel
RAVE-Z Colorname - Dark Panel

This Theme Should Work
On Any Distro with GTK 3.10+ That would be Mint 17 , Ubuntu 14.04 etc (Newer versions of GTK may work but they may not as well.)

Please NOTE: Theme Now Works On Ubuntu and Unity! Please see bellow on how to disable overlay scrollbars! A needed step on Ubuntu.

To enable proper functionality on stock Ubutnu (Mint works fine) overlay scrollbars must be disabled! Xubuntu and other flavors may be unaffected. But if you have issues try this

To Disable overlay Scrollbars on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

Open terminal and run this command:
gsettings set com.canonical.desktop.interface scrollbar-mode normal

If you want to get back overlay Scrollbars, enter this command:
gsettings reset com.canonical.desktop.interface scrollbar-mode

Looks really good. It's inspired by the Greybird theme, right?

Thanks for the kind words. Mint-X is based on Clearlooks Revamp, Elementary and Zukiwi or something in the zuki series I believe. Greybird has been around for while as well. I'm not sure who inspired who I think they all inspired each other somewhat. But I think Elementary was around first I want to say but don't quote me. Greybird has gone though a alot of changes I want to say it looks more elementaryish now then is started off as but I am no expert :)

Hey Thanks for the comment. There is a workaround/fix for this that applys to this and the other themes you mention.

You have to disable overlay scroll-bars because there is a bug in the way it works with 3rd party themes. It has not been fixed by canonical. I mention it in the description but I guess I need to state this and why.

The fix is:
To Disable overlay Scrollbars on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

Open terminal and run this command:
gsettings set com.canonical.desktop.interface scrollbar-mode normal

If you want to get back overlay Scrollbars, enter this command:
gsettings reset com.canonical.desktop.interface scrollbar-mode

I found this out when researching and first working with the theme through goggling and reverse engineering. but it's an important thing to know because I like you thought the themes where to blame. Thanks for the comment.
