 problem

I installed this theme, however, I did not select "Apply the theme" just after installation, then I open "Customize Theme" -> "Pointer", there is no "KnotVista" theme in the list.

I ever installed "TheCandyman", "AlienMind_II", "Jade Dreams" and "PlasticFantastic", if I close "Customize Theme" and then re-open it, the themes that I installed are no more in the "Pointer" list, how can I select the theme to switch?

BTW, I am using Ubuntu and Arch, I can find all these theme folders in ~/icons

I was downloading ubuntu (9.04eng),
for your interest.
You must:
1. right mouse button: change background, but NOT the background, the theme !
2. in the theme menu: install,
3. search your downloaded cursor.tar.gz
3. open cursor.tar.gz
4. apply the new theme.
5. you can see immediately the installed cursor.

best regard !

You need to change the nominal size of the "left_ptr" from 1 to 32.
Please try to use gimp-xmc-plugin or xcur2png.
Another solution is to apply the patch I posted on http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/CursorXP%2BFX+to+X11+Mouse+Theme+Converter?content=72405 by the title of "patch to change nominal size" before converting it by sd2xc-2.3.pl.

It is true, if you use ubuntu and gnome does not display a thumbnail of the mouse, but works on kde, I think it is a flaw in the program sd2xc.pl, these pointers are only good if you use just ...:-(
try to solve the problem.
