Description:

This is a mod version of the wonderful Finestly theme by Daniel Fore.
I just made some changes to fix some color issues + other subtle changes to widgets... to make it more suitable to my personal taste (dark theme).

Changelog:

2.1 : fixed most of color issues following readers feedbacks. Need help to fix the remaining ones.
Enlarged cursor on slides and changed progressbar and menu color.

2.2 changed tabs and scrollbars

2.3 changed focus color and rounding for entry widget, fixed murrine color for item options.

2.4 adjusted for Lucid
Tip:
Replace usr/share/pixmaps/nautilus/thumbnails_frame.png with image of screenshot nr.3 in order to get better theme color matching on framed images in nautilus.

2.5 small changes to progressbar and frames for nautilus

 nice dark theme

I really like this dark theme though I think it can be improved. First I think the font colors for active and inactive tabs should be switched and some of the controls should have brighter text color:

In the Theme property screen, under colors section, press "Restore Default" button. Alternatively, here is my color scheme:

gtk-color-scheme = "base_color:#c8c8c8\nfg_color:#cacaca\nbg_color:#424242\ntooltip_fg_color:#000000\nselected_bg_color:#484848\nselected_fg_color:#f5f5f5\ntext_color:#121212\npaneltext_color:#a0a0a0\npanel_color:#2e2e2e"

Hope this could help.

That didn't help as I was already using the default colors.

Hi,
actually the 3rd screenshot is a image u can download and use as a replacement of the nautilus standard one.

By default Nautilus 2.30 used in Lucid comes with a white thumbnailer frame which is not very usable with dark themes, hence I made some changes to this PNG using GIMP in order to get a dark frame with a subtle darker border.

I think this thumbnails' frame suite better on dark backgrounds, expecially if you use applications like COVER THUMBNAILER to display album cover or an image intead of the default folder icon.

Hope this answer...
Ciao!

Hi,
actually the 3rd screenshot is a image u can download and use as a replacement of the nautilus standard one.

By default Nautilus 2.30 used in Lucid comes with a white squared thumbnailer frame which is not very usable with dark themes, hence I made some changes to this PNG using GIMP in order to get a dark frame with a subtle darker border.

I think this thumbnails' frame suite better on dark backgrounds, expecially if you use applications like COVER THUMBNAILER to display album cover or an image instead of the default folder icon.
