Description:

Hi,
this the first theme I upload here. Basically this is just the Dust theme made compact modifying its gtkrc file. I needed to do this because my laptop screen is small and I don\'t like how the big dust theme is rendered on it.

This is the first release, maybe I\'ll upload it again with some changes and improvements. Any suggestion is welcome

One last thing: does anybody know how to make the text under the icons smaller like in the Murrina Latte theme? I tryed modifying the gtkrc theme with the small text option but it didn\'t work.

I think you need murrine engine 0.9.2 for this theme, but I\'m not 100% sure.

- new screenshot uploaded showing differences between the original Dust theme and this compact version. More to come.

i like the idea of what you wanted to do but there is no difference between your theme and the original dust (non that i can see)

try making the i cons smaller like in the murrina themes

it good concept as the normal icons and text are way to big...

Hi, I agree that the icons have the same size but if you can't see any change at all I wonder if you had the theme installed properly. Just look at the new screenshot I uploaded (more to come), the difference is clear.

I'm not sure how I can make the icons smaller, it's one of the things I asked in the description, if anybody knows how to do it please tell me. Thanks!

I also can't see any difference to the normal Dust theme. The menues and icon bars still have the same size. I tested on two different systems with Ubuntu 9.04, one with metacity window manager, one with compiz enabled. Any idea?

Bye
Christian

Hello, nice work! But I have some idea (not tested yet), try to put this:

style "menubar" = "dark"
{
font_name = "8"

If don't work, well there is another way, selecting manually the font size...

Hi,
Is there any update on the Ubuntu regular "Dust" that this "Dust Compact" needs?
