I also would like a metacity or emerald.

Metacity? Definitely not - coding it is no fun.

I will think about emerald, but it seems pointless - you can use Openbox instead of Metacity in GNOME easily.

I started to use openbox + gnome 2 weeks ago, and this will be my default theme.

If you have installed gtk-engines and gtk-engine-murrine-git, then it must work. If it doesn't, then you're doing something wrong.
Just make sure that you remove gtk-engine-murrine before you install murrine-git (I'm not sure if those two won't conflict with each other).

Ok, sorry for all the confusion. I was having problems getting the git version to compile correctly. Now everything works great! Also, I see request for your metacity, so I took the time to release something for ya :)
