Description:
Ambiance Blackout Flat is a Modern, Beautiful, Fully Dark & flat "reboot" of the Ambiance & Radiance GTK 2/3 Themes. It features a modern and clean "Flat" look in your choice of 13 vibrant colors. Now With Support for GTK 3.14. Ubuntu 15.04, Debian 8, Linux Mint Debian 2 and more! Plus better GnomeShell support in 15.04 build. And of coerce we still have the lovely 14.04 LTS branch.
Ambiance Blackout Flat brings you a fully dark and flat version of Ambiance, However we don't go crazy with making everything "Too Dark" the theme was designed to be a calm beautiful shade of Dark Grey that is still highly visible and not too dark. We spent lots of time crafting and perfecting things so the theme could be highly useable and buttons and all elements highly visible and clear.

This Theme Fully Supports Ubuntu 15.10, 15.04, 14.10 & 14.04. Mint 17, Debian 8, Arch, Fedora, OpenSuse. And Other Distros With GTK Versions 3.10 to 3.16+
With full and tested support for most popular GTK desktops Including:
Unity, Cinnamon, MATE, XFCE, LXDE, OpenBox, Gnome Classic & Fallback. And We have reworked everything, so now one theme works on all desktops. No more separate versions cluttering things up.
Please keep in mind dark themes are historically hard to do, because of the fact most apps and GTK it's self really assume you will be using a light theme. And makes things unreadable, We try to fix most of this with work arounds and tweaks. but in some cases we simply can't do anything or something needs to be done to the application manually on your end. we have wrttien howtos on this.

Ambiance Flat is not by or endorsed by the original Ambiance team. It is a NEW Fully flat ambiance like theme that is Designed by the RAVEfinity Open Source Design Project, It has been in planning & development for a long awhile. Completely redesigned top to bottom by RAVEfinity with main code based on Ambiance Blackout Colors (Another theme By RAVEfinity) & Stock Ambiance. We keep some design elements of stock Ambiance but we have also redesigned lots of parts on our own. A lot of new design work has gone into this.

Needed Theme engines:
(All engines but pixmap should be already installed on Ubuntu and Mint.)
1.) "Murrine" gtk2 theme engine version 0.98+ ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY.
2.) "Unico" Theme Engine. Is highly recommended but things will work without it.
3.) Recommended Engine...
"Pixmap Theme Engine"
Package name: "gtk2-engines-pixbuf"
Can be found in the REPOS Install VIA:
sudo apt-get install gtk2-engines-pixbuf
