Description:

Staring down all the time at my aluminium keyboard of my Imac I can not help noticing that it is a brilliant - yet simple- design.

As a gnome-desktopthemer I decided to try to make a GTK and Emerald theme based on this keyboard....

It is something refreshingly new to look at. So give it a try!
Please try before you rate. Comments are welcome...

In the AluChrystalpack (untar it twice !!!) you will find an GTK-theme, an emerald theme and the desktopbackground. There is no metacity theme included.
To install:

After you have extracted the downloaded file twice (yes twice!) you will have a file. Within that file you have the AluChrystalGTKtheme.targz. Drag and drop that into the system/preferences/appearance -window. Then select the theme.
The emerald theme needs to be 'imported' by the emerald-theme manager (use synaptic to install this application if you do not have it yet.)

Changelog:

Corrected some errors like 'Missing GTK-engine' in Ubuntu Intrepid

Really nice work!

Is there any way to change the default application text colour from gray to black? The gray probably fits the theme better but gives me a bit of eye strain in open office.

Thanks!

 Can't enable theme in emerald

I can install this theme just fine on my Intrepid install, but when I run emerald from the command line I get this set of errors:

/home/ian/.themes/AluChrystalGTKTheme/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:465: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "Buttons/button-default.png"
/home/ian/.themes/AluChrystalGTKTheme/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:470: Background image options specified without filename
/home/ian/.themes/AluChrystalGTKTheme/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:1905: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "Buttons/button-default.png"
/home/ian/.themes/AluChrystalGTKTheme/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:1908: Background image options specified without filename

The theme is enabled, but as soon as I close the terminal with the error message all of the emerald supplied pieces of the window decoration disappear (they don't revert to something else--they're just gone!). Is something missing here? Or am I misunderstanding something? I've never used emerald before.

Thanks
