if software features get lost in new program versions

Scala, Java, C++, C, ASM on Z80, Perl, Python, and some other script languages.

From 2002 to 2009 Java was my favorite programming language. Unfortunately Java did not adapt to the new demands of ever-increasing software complexity. IMO Java has currently reached the point where C was in the 90th when more and more people stepped over to C++ to gain a higher level of abstraction. In 2009/10 I stepped over to Scala and I had an even more mind blowing feeling compared to the transition from C to C++.
