I realy hate this. From the fist day! OK, sites like kde-look.org are very expensive sor hosting, but why Microstoft ads. There are many others adverseting options. I also ask admins in forum, some weeks ago, but get no reply.

Hi,

I can't see this ad. I think this is different for every country.

The ads are done by a advertising company and we don't have direct control over this. We need the ads because running the websites is a very expensive hobby. Over 8TB traffic last month.

I also don't understand why this is a problem for you. If Microsoft wants to waste their money by spending it on Linux sites. It should be O.K. for us.

I'm sure no Linux user will switch to microsoft products. :-)

With a nice Firefox extension called no scripts,I don't see Ads at all...It also prevents any stat reaping program to get your data...very nice indeed

I'm an idiot for blocking annoying ads? I have the right to display what I want to on my monitor. And whether or not ads are getting more aggressive isn't my problem. The people who don't like that can just install AdBlock as well. And as the ads adapt to AdBlock, AdBlock can adapt to the ads. I hate ads. Especially when they're Microsoft ads on a site full of open-source enthusiasts.
