Best Linux forum I've been to. We don't use "RTFM" as an excuse for not knowing an answer ;)

lol maybe that should be rephrased to "we only use RTFM when nobody has a clue as to how to help," although I do think that in some cases BTFF (Browse The F****** Forums) is quite warranted ;-)

:) Obviously YOU don't frequent OUR forums. Your statement is patently false for us.

Absolutely! We try to educate one another and share our experiences rather than just tell someone to go read something. We will often recommend areas to read, but we usually help them get started and most often we provide the answer when we know it. At the same time we try to help people learn, so at times we will direct people to read various sources of documentation, but then to ask questions about it so they can learn. Often we learn more ourselves, so it is a beneficial thing to everyone!

Yup, dats cool mahn! ;-) We are NOT limited to individuals who reside in the USA - just that our home location is the USA. I can think of Richard, off the top of my head, who is a frequent contributer who hails from the UK. Jada is in the states now, but he has lived in Deutchland (Germany) in the past. I am probably missing several others. What we are is a friendly on line LUG (as opposed to a LUG located in some city) and we aim to promote Linux, help others learn Linux better, help one another out with problems, point out new developments on the horizon, and sometimes simply socialize.
