 When Arrange icons

by sanousy on: Apr 28 2010

Score 50%

Why Gnome arranges the desktop icons just like some other operating system, why it does not make it a creative way, by placing the trash for example at the bottom right place ( an example only), and the home folder at the top-left corner of the screen, and the rest of icons to be arranged at the bottom, sorted by type ( applications links, document, images ... etc)?

 SQLITE

Score 50%

Why SQLITE is not included by default in Gnome, it is a great extension for Gnome, especially if all settings are converted into SQLITE tables.

 Gnome Panel and themes

by sanousy on: Apr 28 2010

Score 50%

Most of the themes require special effects on the Gnome panel, so what will happen if it gets the theme changer to remember the gnome panel settings for this theme too? ( just like suggested wallpaper).

 Exporting Mixed themes

by sanousy on: Apr 28 2010

Score 50%

When I try to create my own theme, by mixing the window decoration from some theme, and the icons from another, and the controls from a third, and set some special color scheme for this theme, I cannot export it as an installable theme, but if this feature is there in Gnome, I will be able to simple provide this effect to the others over the Internet.

 Big Desktop instead 4

by sanousy on: Apr 28 2010

Score 50%

What if we have a big desktop, instead of switching between different desktops, so simply we can move the desktop viewed area, and everything will stay in its place on the desktop, just like the real one, and we can call the operation move around, and I can see the corner of some window or "Paper" showing up at my bottom-right corner of my screen, and I can move my view are of the desktop to position over it.

the idea looks like having the screen is what I am looking at of my big desktop.

 Bacground Music

by sanousy on: Apr 28 2010

Score 50%

What will happen if I can add to the theme a background music of my favorite, so I can optionally switch it on/of? and post it along with the theme or post a link for it if it was on the Internet?
