 Apps for Gaming

I wonder which gaming related Apps you could suggest. In the moment I can only suggest Q4Wine ( http://opendesktop.org/content/show.php?action=content&content=85751) an app where you can easily manage your wined games/programs and configure wine.
If you have other apps to suggest please tell me :)

I've now added OpenTTD. It's an fantastic game which I would recommend to anyone. Btw. Since some months it's not neccesary anymore to have the original game data to play. (All Graphics, Music and Soundfiles were replace with free ones).

 Humble Indie Bundle #2

Score 50%

Btw. currently the "Humble Indie Bundle #2" is running. It's an bundle of 5 indie games, which are all running on linux and are all DRM free. AANND you can pay what you want for those 5 games.

See http://www.humblebundle.com/.

I've bought it and can say that all those games are all worth it.

Whoho, If you buy the HIB #2 now you'll get the games of the first HIB, too!

That means you'll get ELEVEN! great linux games for what you'll be able to pay. (You won't get the HIB #1 Games though if you pay less than the average ($7.33), though )

So, if you didn't bought it so far, do it now ;)

 Comercial blobs

by Lachu on: Feb 9 2011

Score 50%

Hi. Some body would release this blob on Linux platform.

http://www.greyaliengames.comeasterbonus.php

That's not wrong, but I have read lastly about many comercial mini-games, which would been released on Linux.

Have nobody think that create as many as this little game for free to display, that we except from comercial games more?

I prefer to playing free in price and open source games than playing this commercial one.

GNUrpgm looks nice, haven't tried it yet though.

Hope there's a future for it in GTK.

Hell yessss it was :D
I'm currently making it presentable for a contest, so don't expect a really "usefull" version before march the 14th
A big variety of games for linux is something I'm missing still :/ (especially with an ATI Card..)
So I hope that this will stimulate, or at least motivate people to spend more time improving this situation :)

(swallowing the words about the dark future of the gtk version ..)

Good luck on that.
I can already think of a handful of people who would surely make use of this.

"(swallowing the words about the dark future of the gtk version ..)"
I take that as a no. But hey, GPL'd software. :)
