if you change the x and y positions of your bottom frame in metacity-theme-1.xml of your theme to look like this:
<draw_ops name="frame-bottom-focused">
<image filename="frame-bottom-left-focused.png" x="0" y="0" width="object_width" height="object_height"/>
<image filename="frame-bottom-mid-focused.png" x="5" y="0" width="width - 10" height="object_height"/>
<image filename="frame-bottom-right-focused.png" x="width - object_width" y="0" width="object_width" height="object_height"/>
</draw_ops>

... i think that should fix it so it draws the bottom left corner correctly

hmm. thats odd. i downloaded the theme and changed that and got it working on mine. is this how it is supposed to look?

it's very good for a first theme :-DD
i don't really know how to improve it, but it's just my opinion i guess, but i don't like too similar buttons on the window borders (like all circles) even if prelight is different.

but, yeah, that's just me. overall it's great. :-)

i posted that in the artwork forum a while ago. i tried making a generic one. black mesh background with a blue throbber. it won't start tho, i posted the terminal output for "sudo xsplash".

any ideas?

There are two resolutions, which are not correct. 1200x800 and 1200x1024. These should are 1280x800 (wide) and 1280x1024 (normal). The theme must be renamed to xsplash. Only this name works.

Ah... sorry! I forgot to mention that the names are also not correct. The correct names are bg_1280x800.jpg not 1280x800.jpg. That's true for all resolutions. Good luck! :)

the theme name? it's just a collection of images.
i did those resolutions and tried sudo xsplash and still got:

ok...

1. first rename your theme folder to xsplash (if you have not done this)

2. rename all background pictures to: bg_...

3. change to /usr/share/images as root and make a backup of the xsplash folder

4. move your new xsplash folder to /usr/share/images

5. type sudo xsplash in a terminal (it really works, I have just tested with your theme)

Yes, I like it much! Only the background picture is a little bit to simple in my opinion. But it's a good work. I like the colors. :)
