 Fedora Alpha 9

Did anyone try Fedora 9 alpha yet (with KDE 4.0)?

I tried LiveCD KDE4.0 (first one) from Rawhide and it was usable only for demonstrational and testing purpose. When will 4.0.1 hit the Rawhide?

now i'm using a Fedora release 8.92 (Rawhide)
kde4 is unstable :-( i think that fedora9 will include some stable release, but kde4 is alpha and all "stable" releases is some milestones on the way to really KDE4 in future ;) this will be in autumn, i think.

I'm going to stick with 3.5 too, at least Fedora 9 is out... Can't risk with upgrading from Rawhide.

Beside KDE4, I'm waiting for KDE4 applications, mostly for KDEedu/Step, Amarok2 and Kopete.

yeah on the fifth 4.0.1 was release at the same time sulpher alpha was released.
i think the next release of bug fixes is in 2-3 months. it will be sooner if there are more people playing with 4.0 to send bug reports. that way the more complete the desktop will become. i also am waiting to see a upgrade with the gnome desktop. i think it already is a great desktop but there are somethings that can be improved. i like the control panel idea for gnome but accessibility needs to be improved.
to the whole Gnu Object Manipulating Environment (GNOME) environment.
heres one problem when you have kde and gnome you cant edit the menu in gnome, or is it just me who has the problem?

Just upped to Fed 8 after years on a highly modded Fed 5. Very nice! All the development tools you could need, and noticeably quicker as well.

 Fed 11

Been installing Fed 11 at a local community centre. Probably the 'king hit' for choosing it was plug and print. No Install Printer just plug the printer in and hit the Print Test Page balloon that pops up. Nice selling point for the people who don't know linux.

The Fedora artwork went down well too. (Image isn't everything :P )

Tried the KDE (4.2) live CD. Very slow indeed. Not convinced.
