 A few different setups....

Here's some of the setups I've been alternating between over the last couple of months or so. All on the netbook....

CWM. Pixmaps for terminal bg for the gritty/rustic look. Muted color-palette
http://ompldr.org/vYWZyZw

ScrotWM, giving some love to the old SGI-Iris fonts.
http://ompldr.org/vYTh2cw

EvilWM with Tmux. Set some keybindings to launch various configs of URxvt.

Hey I like the CWM shot. Looks like the SGI fonts are making a comeback.

eya gutterslob,

How'd you get urxvt to blur the background? I hadn't thought of doing that (been playing with --pixmap FAR too long). I am referring to the Octoman photo screenie.

I should copy some of your color settings; it seems we lean towards dark backgrounds...

Only in it for the eye-candy. What's *your* excuse?

Yeah, looked at patching dwm and so on; also the other tiling WMs. Then thought I might as well go back to awesome which has all the goodies up and running.

So, of course, gratuitous screenie:

Just awesomeWM straight out of the box.

"[/url]" after ur link address.

Hey Robert,

Thanks man, the tweaks are not much but changing settings in bespin.

Thanks for the info I appreciate it. Man I love your screenshots they are awesome! Wish I knew how to tweak kde to that extent. You have a gift for that dude ;-) It would be awesome to know where to start to even get close to yours.

Thanks again man ;-)

That Bespin config looks awesome!

It's a shame that the DBus Menu is, right now, Kubuntu-only.

Thanks AlejandroNova,

Yeah it's pretty slick. I am a big Arch Linux guy but thought I would try out kubuntu on my laptop. So far it's flyin and I tried the low fat settings and so far it's working pretty good. Even Chromium get's the dbus-menu ;-)

This is just enlightenment. The default look is as good as any other theme. Choice is whether to keep this or openbox.

I can see why, the drop shadows from the terms appear on all desktops (called 'sticky'), but i thought it looked cool on the theme/bg you have (had? :)

I stayed with e17; I figured it doesn't need much horsepower, plus it's not as spartan as the other *box WMs.
