I constantly am testing releases of FreeBSD, DesktopBSD, and PCBSD. I do not understand why PCBSD moved to using KDE4 as their default desktop. It runs like crap (the latestest pcbsd release). And it looks like its been colored by a blind toddler. Why would PCBSD with all of its corporate backing and trying to get businesses to use it switch to a default desktop that is IMO ugly, and only half functional. I'm more of a gnome man myself. But KDE4 is nowhere near where it needs to be in order to be used as a mission critical workstation in any sort of business. PCBSD made a bad decision IMO.

 4.3.0

KDE 4.3.0 is available in ports. Please read /usr/ports/UPDATING!!!! Python and jpeg have had recent update changes that can affect KDE, so make sure you're up to date on those and their dependents. You should also be using qt4-phonon, and not phonon. UPDATING has all the info you need.
