Description:

This group is for guys who wish ( like me) to make the next step after trying to clone everything in the commercial systems, to create a stream of ideas that makes commercial systems try to clone it.

Who needs a new application idea?

just tell me what you can do, and I'll provide you with a very good (non-cloning) idea, that you can start with.

-------------

Have you a nice application idea, but you cannot program it?

you can post it here for other guys who are interested in your ideas.

please make sure to make it clear enough.

also, please do not make fun of the others ideas.

Sometimes we find applications already exist, but we have some idea that make it more efficient or we find a way to enhance how it works, in a different way from what is there in other operating systems.

this is another target in this group, if you have it, please don't hide it.

I have a different point of view!

making Cygwin for example a genuine part of ReactOS will create a great mix for those who like windows, follow me to get my idea.

Imagine a huge set of linux features ported to ReactOS, will accelerate brining the system ready, and it gives it the speed of linux progress, even you can port other desktops like Gnome and KDE to it.

This might be theory, but let us say it could come true someday.

The benefit, you will create a hybrid running both windows and linux applications :)

Yeah, we tried that... but ReactOS seems to port most Windows applications, they also need to be virtualized so it can run properly in ReactOS, any ideas? Virtualize Linux in Windows-Like OS???

I see,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ReactOS

So, can I say that ReactOS originally has a different kernel (something not windows), and wine is integrated inside it, and ability to read FAT.

My question is ( Actually I did not try it yet) : can we say that ReactOS will support running more applications other than what wineHQ can do?

I think if you join WineHQ, your experience will help reaching WineHQ full Platinum list :)
