 Realplay?

Just curious to know why you'd be using Realplayer which is not open-source. Also, why Real 10 which has issues with needing OSS compatibility (blocking other apps from using the soundcard) ? At least most of these issues were fixed in Real 11.

We are struggling for finding any free server that can host these file, we find none but the free one, with bandwidth limit that will over soon...We can't afford to pay for hosting. I have emailed this to anyone but everybody refuses to help. Please, can anyone host it at your server? It is a part by part file (26/26) and contain a single ISO file. This distro is created by Malaysians, a potential distro... Our ISP in Malaysia is not as fast as the speed at your country. We have a slowest ISP speed, even Lithuania has a faster speed than our isp here. Uploading a single ISO file takes about 5 hours, if the ISP can remain connected.
We should feel very thankful if anyone can host this files to your server. I hope you all can host it...

You could ask these guys. They are primerially a mirror service but they would probably help. That is if you ditched realplayer?

I think the problem is that you are providing propriatary apps with your distro by default. I personally dont have a problem with this but open source mirror services will as they are usually run as non profit organisations.

:(

Maybe realplayer could install via a post installation script (ie downloaded and installed after the OS installation)?

I will remove Real player...

I think they doesn't want to waste their time with a Malaysian distro. And, the files is 26 parts which can be downloaded at a free file hosting...

Uploading a 350 MB file in Malaysia will take 5 hours, if it stay connected... Everything is expensive here, webhosting costs "$400" (MYR 1250!!!) for a year!

We should feel very thankful if anyone can mirror/hosts this files. Give a chance to our lovely country Malaysia to have something to proud about...

Hey dont get all down about it... Things like this take time. There are so many new distros that come out all the time that they (filehosts) must get many requests like yours every week. Just stick at it, show people your potential and you will find a host.

Have you considered bittorrent for the time being?

P.s

I am just dloading your distro as we speak. So i will let you know later.

:)

Yeah, a bittorent.... nice idea! I'll try to find torrent to upload these files... nobody will download the split file... nobody want to waste their time to download the file from a stupid free file hosting....

Or, seems like I need to contact the Government of Education or any local website servers directly to host these file....

I like the idea of a torrent! I was going to suggest that actually, but someone else thought of it too ;D
I must admit I haven't downloaded it yet because I don't have the fastest internet connection, but a torrent will get really high speeds for me
