Description:

Hello I am a musician-
I have played this for my start - end sound.

Hope you will enjoy it.

Please be patient I'll keep uploading new sounds to complete the whole sound set in line with Dream Theme.

Fixed the new short end sound to match better with fast shut systems.

Changelog:

Fixed the e-mail sound.

SOUNDS FOR UBUNTU 8.10:

To install:
1.Download the file for ubuntu 8.10 to your desktop
2.Right click the file and select extract here, another archive will pop up extract here again
3.open a terminal and run this command:

sudo cp -r $HOME/Desktop/dream /usr/share/sounds

open audio settings and select dream

LET ME KNOW PLEASE :)

It was really satisfying to read the good comments about my work here.
Also great to read how someone can communicate feelings through the music better than any word.
The world of dreams is just one of the feelings that lives in myself and i am really happy to share it with you all, as far as you have enjoyed it....it just amuses me. :-)

I'll keep try to do my best.

THANK YOU ALL

I love this sound scheme. Ubuntu's default one is too tribal and loud, so it scares me to hell whenever I'm not expecting it.

These sounds, however, are very soothing and calming. good job!

Thank you VM enjoy it, I am sorry but on this distro (Ubuntu Intrepid) it seems impossible to have all the sounds playing and there is nothing i can do about it.

Let's hope this will be improved with Jaunty. :)

I'm using it with Jaunty, and I notice the same amount of sounds as Ubuntu's default ones work correctly.

Login/Logout, Information or question, warning and error sounds all play correctly and sound different from Ubuntu's when I click the play/preview button.

I don't know if this is related to the bug you mentioned, but the sound scheme works well for me, good job!

Thank you very much, the bug is into the system, when you play the preview it works fine, the problem comes with any sound set in it.
The only 2 sounds you can play correctly through the system are the login and a couple of sounds you can select from the application like K3B or evolution.
Are you able to hear any sound when you shut down your machine?
Please let me know.

I am still on Intrepid, and then the folder should be copied in /usr/share/sounds.
