Description:

Hello I am a musician-
I have played this for my start - end sound.

Hope you will enjoy it.

Please be patient I'll keep uploading new sounds to complete the whole sound set in line with Dream Theme.

Fixed the new short end sound to match better with fast shut systems.

Changelog:

Fixed the e-mail sound.

SOUNDS FOR UBUNTU 8.10:

To install:
1.Download the file for ubuntu 8.10 to your desktop
2.Right click the file and select extract here, another archive will pop up extract here again
3.open a terminal and run this command:

sudo cp -r $HOME/Desktop/dream /usr/share/sounds

open audio settings and select dream

LET ME KNOW PLEASE :)

It was really satisfying to read the good comments about my work here.
Also great to read how someone can communicate feelings through the music better than any word.
The world of dreams is just one of the feelings that lives in myself and i am really happy to share it with you all, as far as you have enjoyed it....it just amuses me. :-)

I'll keep try to do my best.

THANK YOU ALL

 Great sounds!

I love this theme. My only complaint is that in Dream Intro.wav, the strings that play the B towards the end sort of sounds off to me. I think it'd sound better with a C# instead.

The theme starts in D to solve suspended on A9, playing violins in C# it would play like A Maj solving. 9th gives a suspending feel which was what i have dreamed for it.

Then the shutdown sound close it on the 10th.

Supposing your switching on a pc, it should remain on, therefore suspended.
Closing, it should rest. :)))

Hm, I see! I still find the 9th a bit unsettling (after experimenting a bit, Amaj7 with the strings on G# sounded the best to me). Either way, I don't think it's that big of a deal—I don't notice it unless I'm carefully listening to it.

I see, your idea its fine however it doesnt give the sense i have dreamed for it....basically it rests that way AMaj7 + strings G# resolves like a AMaj7 and rests there.
I mean that chord closes the games and that's it, just using a 9th it will remain suspended like nowhere, thats the dream feel, isn't it?
Anyway thank you very much for the great sounds I am glad you liked them...least in part :P
