I'm really quite impressed. I don't use sound effects for much to be honest, but these are very good quality and skillfully done. You have my kudos :)

All the best,

 OGG

To convert to ogg, install vorbis-tools and run oggenc -q5 "$in.wav" -o "out.ogg". -q5 is a value for the quality vs bitrate of the output file - play around with it and check out the resulting file sizes and sound qualities.

What's in the update?

I like the sounds so far. I'm picky about the sounds I use. Good job.

 these ogg's are mp3s

Here is what I get when I try to play the OGG files contained in your archive:

"The filename "Battery_Charging.ogg" indicates that this file is of type "Ogg multimedia". The contents of the file indicate that the file is of type "MP3 audio. etc., etc."

However, I can play your "ogg" files with mpg123 (they sound nice, by the way).

I think maybe you converted the wav files to mp3 instead of ogg by accident.

If you would be so kind, could you replace these with a set of ogg files?

Thank you. :)

oh, and to convert them, all you need to do is:

oggenc *

this will produce 44.1 Kbps (stereo) output

LAME encodes to mp3, which isn't the same as Ogg Vorbis. Ogg Vorbis is an open source audio format, as opposed to MP3, which is still tied up in patents.
