Description:

Why isn't this Tux used more often? It's definitely cuter and easier on the eyes than the other two popular Tux (the overweight smirking one, and the pointy cross-eyed one)

Changelog:

Found in the AER-OS-XK icon set.

because this tux looks like something that you want to hit with a baseball bat not one you want to have anything to do with your IT.

I think its cute <3

Not an 'official' tux replacement though. Face it, we're stuck with the other one. There is no good way to uproot such a crucial part of the community so many years after it was made.

yeh I like your Tux better...it's so much more modern than the other. It is unfortunate that the Linux community drew artists into its realm after the code geeks gave us this beautiful thing called Linux then stuck an ugly little icon on it. I think it would be nice if you took Tux in his original recognizable form and gave him a needed tweak. If any one could do it it would be you.

Oh yeh by the way thanks for all your other gorgeous icons.

 Evil penguin needed.

Mm, it *is* cute. But, I think the problem I have with this Tux, and the "pointy cross-eyed" Tux, is that they just look... not really "smart" enough.

The official Tux himself doesn't look like a razor-wit, either, but he looks a bit more "for serious", for lack of a better term. Then again, there are limits to how serious you can be with a cartoon. :P

Personally I'd be in favour of a more devious, clever penguin, like the one from that Wallace & Gromit movie... but that's just me.

well it's not just you...

this tux thing isn't anything I have ever
thought of before this post showed...

Now when it comes to mind I too think we
need a very evil tux that looks like he is
gonna "kill bill" ;D

Anyway, the first time I saw the cross-eyed
one I just couldn't stop laughing.... so I'm
perfectly okey with that too :D

chill!
