Description:

A fast Clearlooks and Ubuntulooks themes for Gnome made to loosely resemble OSX Tiger.

They fit well with Compiz also.

Contents:
T-ish - Clearlooks theme
T-ish Aguastyle - Clearlooks theme with some pixmap elements
T-ish-Ubuntulooks - Ubuntlooks theme
T-ish-Ubuntulooks Aguastyle - Ubuntulooks theme with some pixmap elements
T-ish-Ubuntulooks Graphite - same as above but thanks to Alejandro Cornejo

Based on Clearlooks or Ubuntulooks engines, Ish GTK theme with additional buttons from Expose and GlossyP metacity borders (with many thanks to authors).

Requires clearlooks or ubuntulooks engine.

For best results use OSX icons, jaguarx mouse theme, and FoxiTiger firefox skin (links below).

IMPORTANT: In order to install all of the themes you'll have to manually extract to ~/.themes dir.

IMPORTANT 2: In order for scrollbars to work on Ubuntu Edgy you have to install gtk2-engines-pixbuf package.

Through gconf-editor.

On ubuntu: go to:
Applications->System tools->Configuration editor

when gconf is started go to:
apps->metacity->general

and into button_layout field put the following values:

close,minimize,maximize:menu

Hope it helps,

TOni

 Progessbar

Hi Tmilovan,
I took the progressbar icon von the ifoxtiger-firefox-theme and the code from Brushed-Theme in gnome-look.org and created a Progressbar.

Just add the following to gtk-2.0 folder http://www.christophis.de/stuff/gnome/progressbar_pixmap.tar.gz

and add

include "progressbar_pixmap/progressbar_pixmap.rc"

to your gtkrc if you want...

Cheers, Daniel

Hi,

Thanks for suggestion but I'd like to avoid so much pixmap engine elements in this theme. The main reason I did this theme was that I wanted a fast tigerish theme and at the same time I was fascinated with clearlook engine.

If I wanted to just mimic OSX theme I would use the pixmap engine from start, but results would be slower.

Another thing is that new clearlooks-cairo makes great usage of animated progressbars and I'd like to see them in T-ish.

What I suggest to you is that you take T-ish, make as many changes you as want and publish your own variation.

Cheers.

You're right. I didn't think enough about this fact off having a clean & fast clearlooks theme without pixmaps.

Perhaps I'll give myself a try for a "custom" Tish-theme. ;)

Thanks, Daniel

Hi tmilovan,

This them is awesome, I would like to know how did you make the file browser window, I mean the icon area inside the window gray, like on the screen shot. I like that effect.

Thanks,
jozmak

Not sure if I undersootd you correctly, but try this and let me know is this is it.

Through gconf-editor.

On ubuntu: go to:
Applications->System tools->Configuration editor

when gconf is started go to:
apps->nautilus->preferences

And turn on always_use_browser field.

Hope it helps,

Thanks for the reply but it was not what I meant. I made a screen shot to make it clearer.

http://img321.imageshack.us/img321/512/nautilus5pq.png

As you see in the image the background of my file-browser is white. But I want this to be Gray as it is on your screen shot.

Thanks,
jozmak

Ok, that helps:)

There are two ways:

1.Through gconf-editor.

On ubuntu: go to:
Applications->System tools->Configuration editor

when gconf is started go to:
apps->nautilus->preferences

Set: background_color: #777777
or fou can put filename in background_filename to get pattern in bacground

2. The easier way:

Click on Places->Computer then in menubar go to: Edit->Emblems and backgrounds and then just drag&drop desired color or pattern from opened window to the background of Computer window. Thats it.

Hope it helps.

Thanks.

About orbital, well I'm sorry... it goes too far from my initial idea, and I'm not sure that other users will like it.

Cheers.
