I double checked and there was no problem on my end with the download, (it downloads from Dropbox because it is too large to upload here as a .tar.gz file.) The link is here:

In the configuration settings, (which is before where it says: TEXT) simply delete the line:
temperature_unit fahrenheit
and it will default back to celcius
you will have to restart the conky for the change to take effect.

Try typing in a terminal after removing the script: killall conky
then type: conky &
I have done this and there was no problem changing the core and HDD temps to celcius after removing the script from the .conkyrc file. The weather temp is from yahoo, so depending on where you live, it will either be F or C degrees, if you live in the U.S. it will be fahrenheit by default for the weather.

In the .conkyrc file change:
own_window_type panel
to:
own_window_type normal

I cannot understand why you cannot change the temp to celcius. I have had no problem doing this, I just open the .conkyrc file in a text editor, remove the fahrenheit script, save it, then in a terminal: killall conky, and then restart with: conky &, and it switches every time. The first time I did it, I forgot to save the file change, and it didn't but, the second and third time I had no problem...

Beautiful Theme, Can I change font color

by YummyTech on: Jun 13 2015

Hello! I love the theme. Is there a way to change the font color for the desktop? We have a dark background and use hi contrast icons, borders and controls (my spouse is visually impaired), so currently the text is pretty dark. It highlights fine, but is not easily readable by the user when not highlighted. Currently, we are using a screen reader as a workaround, along with not moving/adding anything to the desktop.

I cave currently tried:
using dconf-editor;
editing settings.ini ntext color tag
editing gtk-main.css and hardcoding gtk.css with either a white text forgeground or background using the tag #ffffff

I restarted each time between each method to see if anything would happen, but nothing did, so I would revert the change and try the next method. Could you point me to the correct file to edit, or can the desktop color not be changed?

Thanks in advance for your time and great work.

It all depends on what you need to change. Go to "metacity theme-1.xml" in the metacity file and change the colors between lines 54 and 62 for the window title bar colors.
If you need to change system colors, you need to look in GTK2, and open the "gtkrc file".
For GTK3 you need to open either "gtk-main.css" file or in the apps folder (for the desktop) the "cinnamon-applications.css" file.
Also you may want to open the "cinnamon.css" file and change the colors there, too.
You will have to do a little trial and error until you get the desired color changes...
