Description:

Ambiance & Radiance Flat is a Modern, Beautiful and Vivid Re-imagination of the Ambiance & Radiance Color GTK 2/3 Themes. It features a Modern, Clean And "Flat" look in your choice of 13 vibrant colors. Despite it's name it is a completely new theme. Not just a simple mod of Ambiance. (We wish it was that easy. But we redesigned lots of things.)

March-April 2016. We have pushed a big/new update that adds: Full support for Ubuntu 16.04 LTS & Mint 18 And Fixes a issue with Mate & Compiz Window Border and CSD not working.

Please Note: A user (One person, multiple accounts) has voted our two themes down to a very low percent because they where upset with us... We have since forgiven them but if you like this theme please give it a like so we can get back to 75% ? Thanks

New Update for 16.04 LTS! Full support for GTK 3.16 & 3.18 Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, Debian 8, Linux Mint Debian 2, Arch, OpenSuse and more! GnomeShell support in 15.04 and later builds.Fully Supports 16.04 LTS & 14.04 LTS

Full and tested support for most of the popular GTK desktops Including:
Unity, Cinnamon, MATE, XFCE, LXDE, OpenBox, Gnome Classic & Fallback. Gnome Shell is now supported in 15.04 and later builds... GTK 3.14+

A Re-imagined Theme in your choice of 13 amazing colors! And Re-designed in many aspects. Ambiance Flat borrows some inspiration and similarity to stock ambiance. However we have taken it to another level with seamless tool-bars, menus and beautiful crisp clean simple look everywhere. With some awesome punchy colors.

Check out Vivacious Colors Icon Theme (Our brand new icon theme.)

Or Check out Vibrancy Colors Icon Theme
http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Vibrancy+Colors?content=167771

This Theme Fully Supports:
Ubuntu 16.04, 15.10, 15.04, 14.10 & 14.04. Linux Mint 18 & 17. Linux Mint Debian 2 & 3, Debian 8 And Linux Or BSD Distros With GTK Versions 3.10, 3.12, 3.14, 3.16 & 3.18+

We have reworked everything, so now one theme works on all desktops. No more separate versions cluttering things up.

There Are 3 Versions:
Ambiance- The darker flavor. Dark panel, menu, toolbar etc.
Ambiance Fusion- Is a hybrid blend w/Light toolbars. Dark panel, menu etc.
Radiance- is the lighter flavor. Light panel, menu etc.

Each Color Has Two Window Button Styles:
Pro- Monochrome Window Buttons
Regular- Color Window Buttons

A Special "Classic Big Border" Window Border Theme is also included as an option for MATE and XFCE Users Who have trouble resizing small/fine window borders. Don't know if that's a issue for anyone but we want to make sure everyone can enjoy and use the theme without struggle. So we include both. This Also may fix resize issues for some users without compiz on MATE and even XFCE.

Ambiance & Radiance Flat is not by or endorsed by the original Ambiance team. It is a NEW Fully flat Ambiance like theme that is Designed by the RAVEfinity Open Source Design Project, It has been in planning & development for a long awhile. Completely redesigned top to bottom by RAVEfinity with main code based on Ambiance & Radiance Colors (Another theme By RAVEfinity) & Stock Ambiance. We keep some design elements of stock Ambiance but we have also redesigned lots of parts on our own. A lot of new design work has gone into this.

one quick question i know there is a the version "pro"which is supposed to have monochome buttons but the only thing i noticed different about them is the window manager on the actual theme ex: spring blue pro it doesn't seem to be any different from the normal spring blue can you explain maybe its something im not noticing ?

I think you got it. As you say Those builds provide a monochrome window button for Unity, Gnome Fallback users, The only difference is the window button color. We have to do it this way because Unity and Gnome fallback do not support choosing a separate GTK3 theme and Window Border theme they have to be together. Other then that they are the same theme.

If you are using XFCE however, You can choose any color from the GTK Theme list and either have a color window button or you can choose Ambiance-Flat-Colors Or Radiance Flat as your Window Theme and that will provide a Monochrome button. Doing it that way is for XFCE Only tho.

I hope this makes sense and answers the question. :)

i believe it is in ambience and radiance 'colors' series. I prefer a more modern flat look this is perfect! hopefully ubuntu catches on to modern UI designs with their interface style.

We breifly released a 14.04.8 build of non-fat with blue spring in it tar only. But have reverted back to only releaseing 14.04.7 until packages can be built but I will try to get that release out again I just did not want to keep bothering the packaging guys too much.

I can send you the Tar Sadi but I am going to try to get the update pushed thanks for reminding me.

Thanks. Nothing urgent. I just wanted to let you know that I've liked this lighter shade of blue even more, and hope to see it included in the next release of the other set too ;-)

We studied a lot of work by others who do flat icons and from this research we actually "Created"* (*based on other great work.) The Vibrancy Colors Icon theme for this theme. because a lot of platforms that use flat themes use simpler icons but they are not totally gradient less in most cases. While I would love to do another icon theme that is totally flat because it would be fun to do. We have to focus with our limited time and resources. that being said it may be a possibility down the road I am not sure yet, but we have alot we need to do.

That being said Stefan does a great Tottaly Flat Icon Theme: http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Ultra-Flat-Icons?content=167477

And so does Vince but his is not as flat (it uses gradients like ours)
http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Emerald?content=167606

I am considering (If there is time) maybe doing color folder icons that will work with his icon theme (Thats based on Flattr). EG You install both. And the folders require his theme to work. I would not want to fork or dilute his endeavors. SO it would be a add on for this theme. Again I am pretty swamped Since we have to do alot of fixes for the next GTK version. But I will do my best.

 ultra flat

yes i'm currently using ultra flat icon theme right now i love it! its a great flat icon theme the only issue is limited folder colors. I tried out the grey folders but found the blue looks better would be nice to actually have the exact theme but 13 different versions with matching colors to this theme (would be ideal) if you did that it would be perfect! I do like vibrancy colors too i'm using them on my other user account and and ;ultra flat' on my main user account :D
