Fantastic theme, I love it.
Is it possible you could make the window border (metacity), all brown/black, instead of the curved brown/black/white now? :)

There are plenty of dark border metacity themes. You could always use one of them instead. Making a solid dark metacity kind of defeats the whole purpose of the theme.

I'm pretty sure the images in the configuration tool should work now. :D

Could you please post a screenshot of the issue?

If its what I think it is, you need to install Nautilus Elementary and enable the Breadcrumbs tweak. If you don't want to install Nautilus Elementary, then use the checkbox for gtk-breadcrumbs in the configuration tool under Nautilus.

Also when I try to reinstall the theme, I get the following text in the terminal:

(gnome-appearance-properties:2660): Gdk-CRITICAL **: IA__gdk_display_sync: assertion `GDK_IS_DISPLAY (display)' failed

The GDK error is not important and only related to the Appearance-Preference window, not the installer.

I'm not sure what the issue is. Could you PLEASE post a screenshot?! It will help a great deal in identifying the problem.

Also, please download the latest version as the installer issue with the images should be fixed.

 Missing style in Nautilus

by MrCrooked on: Nov 27 2010

First of all, GREAT theme. The best I've seen so far! Good job!

Now for the problem; in Nautilus I'm missing the styling of one little rectangle as can be seen on the screenshot. I'm running a freshly installed Ubuntu 10.10.

Screenshot:

Do you know what the problem might be?

Thanks in advance

You need to install nautilus elementary for TESB to display properly :D

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:am-monkeyd/nautilus-elementary-ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
nautilus -q

Edit > Preferences > Tweaks > Enable breadcrumbs (and disable places button)

then do "nautilus -q" again to see the changes.

No problem. I always miss the apt-get update step (or the apt update fails) too, then sit there stumped about what is going on -- its easy to do. ;)

Glad you got it all working! :D

 Buttons

This theme is absolutely beautiful!

I'm still a bit of a ubuntu newb unfortunately so I have two questions:

What is the program that creates that gorgeous set of buttons on the bottom left corner of the screen? And secondly, where can I get the background image?
Cheers!
Chris

 Some problems

Can You take look at this screens:
http://soee.pl/screens/zrzut_ekranu.png

- is this normal with this colors (blue like rows) ?

http://soee.pl/screens/zrzut_ekranu-1.png

- progress bar is the same color as font, so the text isn't visible when the bar reach text.

One more thing :) I'm using now Firefox 4.0 and when im trying to type some url, list of similiar addresses shows up, and tbh. it looks bad (dark background, light text and blue url :/) Can't take screenshot while this list is open.

Ah and this one :) I never looked into themes so i have to ask: is it possible to change the Woskspace switcher background when showing some window area (its white now and its... to white form me, i prefere some darker colors with this theme). And what about Workspaces switcher size? Is there any way to make it smaller so i can have some empty space @ top and bottom?

P.S. Great work :)

Those blue lines in the Listview (1st shot) are really weird and I can't replicate it. There isn't even a blue colour like that in the theme, the only colors other than the browns are grey and the greenish/aqua selection colour. Can you tell me the exact settings that you chose for the theme? Also, check in Appearance Preferences > Customise... > Colours > And hit "Reset to Defaults" to make sure that the default colours are being used.

I know about the dark progressbar issue. The dark tabs and dark progressbars are new, so there are bound to be bugs (I know dark tabs causes issues with firefox). Next week I'll hopefully have a fix out (I'm fairly busy at the moment). Also, I'll have a look into Firefox 4, but I can't really guarantee anything on that front.

 Awesome theme, but...

The best ever !!

However, if I may suggest,

1. index.theme refers to 'Faenza Dark' for the icon theme, should be 'Faenza-Dark' I keep getting an error saying that 'Faenza Dark' is not installed.

2. Progress bar text color is the same as bg and hence not visible when bar moves over the text. I suggest adding 'fg[PRELIGHT] = @text_color' to the progress bar section.

Thank you for this wonderful wonderful theme.

Thanks :D Glad you like the theme.

1. There are two different icon sets: "Faenza-Dark" & "Faenza Dark". Faenza Dark is a mod of Faenza-Dark to have light toolbar icons which work well with dark toolbars like this theme has. http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Faenza+Dark+Icons+(edited)?content=132327
Regardless, in the next update I will be removing the icon theme from the index file as I don't wish to really suggest an icon theme anyway. I just forgot to do it last update.

2. Thanks for the tip. I was aware of the issue but hadn't got around to fixing it. I'll put out a minor update fix soon.
