Description:

I just wanted to make you all aware, that there is a GTK theme available that matches Mosfets High Performance Liquid KDE style very good.

Now you can have one Liquid style for more applications.

PLEASE NOTE THAT I'M NOT THE CREATOR OF THIS THEME.

This theme is not meant for beeing imported into KDE. KDE applications should use Mosfets High Performance Liquid Style.

This GTK theme is for GTK applications to look similar to KDE applications.

The How-To-Install instructions on KDE Look.org refer to a previous theme importer in KDE 2.x that never worked really good.

To make it work for GTK applications, extract the file to any folder (e.g. ~/.gtk_themes/). Then overwrite your ~/.gtkrc file with the file ~/.gtk_themes/XLiquid_GTK-1.0.1/gtk/gtkrc. Comment out the pixmap_path at the beginning of ~/.gtkrc and adjust the path to the directory, where you've extracted the theme to.

Now start a GTK application like GIMP. It should obbey to the XLiquid GTK style from now on.




Changelog:

Sorry for the frequent changes with no update. I have troubles with KDE-Look.org updating the thumbnail. Yesterday evening, it did not change to the new thumbnail, this morning it changed.

The GTK 1.x theme crashes some apps for me. Nmapfe (nmap front end) and putty run fine but XMMS and dillo (a lightweight web browser) crash while starting up:

XMMS:
Gdk-ERROR **: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
serial 523 error_code 8 request_code 2 minor_code 0


Dillo:
Gdk-ERROR **: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
serial 1635 error_code 8 request_code 155 minor_code 4

Both display windows for 1/2 a second.

This is GTK+-1.2.10-r11 on Gentoo Linux for X86. Anyone got any ideas?

Hello,

I like this theme! I use Fluxbox with GTK1 (Sylpheed, XMMS) and GTK2 (GThumb, Galeon, etc...) and was fed up with the uggly default theme of GTK1. Now there is no differences between GTK1 and GTK2 apps. Really cool!!!

KDE 3.4.2: I don't have any /home/me/.gtkrc file. I have a /home/me/.gtkrc-2.0 if I select any GTK theme from k control center.. I replaced THAT file with yours, after renaming it to .gtkrc-2.0, but gtk apps always display that default Raleigh style... any idea?
