Description:

I've made a mockup that shows some ideas for gnome or Xfce. It's on gnomelook, but I thought I should post here it to.

+ In the first screenshot you see the concept with some comments.
+ The second and the third screenshot are showing some theming possibillities with the concept.

THIS IS ONLY A MOCKUP!

[ Aldoh, a pixmap theme is beïng created by Athurva...]

Somehow I think the XFCE-panel could look like this...

Well, I've created the window manager for this here:

I think I've kept fairly true to the original concept, with my biggest divergence being to center the title text.

Next, I will start working on the gtk portion, but there are parts in the screenshots that I can not (or maybe I just do not know howto) create.

wow that look really nice, I wish that was the default theme for gnome/xfce =)

It's not only the compact menu and the shininess, but everything look so well put together.

I like the compact menu idea even it might not work for some applications with a lot of icons, but I do wish the menu could be moved freely by default unlike the ones we have now, or they should do something about it since I'm kind of tired of seeing the same thing in both windows/linux, hence I like the mac menu alternative from kde, but that is still not very flexible, and gnome/xfce need a mod to even have that option.
