The workaround for FF is like with other dark themes and is explained in README.

The OB theme is included in Kvantum (KvGnomeDark) and can be used without Kvantum too (https://github.com/tsujan/Kvantum).

That is possible but Kvantum has a much more polished theme for Qt4/Qt5, namely, KvGnomeDark. I made this theme for a few GTK2 apps I had.

Installed, but I can't use it full.

Excuse me. Please help.
I use Linux Mint Mate 17.3 x64. I downloaded and installed AdwaitaDark from Preferences»Apparience.
Synaptic and --simulate installing from Terminal shows that gtk2-engines-pixbuf and gtk2-engines-pixbuf:i386 are installed.

When I choice AdwaitaDark from Themes, alerts that the window manager theme required is not installed, it shows as "?" logo.
Mint Panel Menu Mate remains white over white.

Maybe MATE hasn't installed the theme correctly. This method should work under all DE's: put the extracted folder AdwaitaDark in the root folder /usr/share/themes/ and select it in any way you select a GTK-2.0 theme.

Both ~/.local/share/themes and ~/.themes are theme installation folders but some DEs may not recognize the latter (although they should recognize the former), so I recommended /usr/share/themes/, which always works.
