Description:

+OxygenEnhanced is a +1Multisized X11 Mouse Theme; +1Multisized is my concept for cursor themes with colorful pointers or pointer with colored backgrounds, and is accomplished by defining the colors that we will use in our cursor theme and set the initial size of the cursor, increasing one pixel between each of the colors. This is my original idea.

For this X11 mouse theme, I defined six colors for pointers, and the initial cursor size is 32 pixels. Therefore we have cursors of Green 32, Yellow 33, Red 34, Blue 35, Aqua 36 and Fuchsia 37 pixels. There is a 5-pixel difference between the initial size and the final size of the cursor . Simply imperceptible difference, and will be less if we choose 4 colors, or a larger initial size of the cursor.

+1Oxygen is a multisized cursor theme and it has six different colors. It was a result of a lot modifications of the original Oxygen cursor theme:

  • It has a 3d color shade.

  • For Gnome, Unity, and Xfce new cursors: bottom_left_corner, bottom_right, top_left_corner, top_right_corner, left_side, right_side, top_side, bottom_side, dnd-ask, dnd-copy, dnd-link, dnd-move, dnd-none, dotbox, context-menu, and not-allowed
  • .
  • Modified cursors: hand1,hand2, help, circle, and move

  • I added it symlinks for some cursors required for Steam, and all required for KDE, Gnome, Unity, and Xfce.

  • I have tested it in KDE with Kwin, Xfce, Gnome 2.x, Gnome 3.x, Unity and it works great.

If you don't know how to install it, please go to link http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Alkano?content=158776, and change the name Alkano by +OxygenE in all instructions.

    Enjoy it!
    Thanks

    Changelog:

  • 2013 Aug v0.2- I removed it the colored halo. Now all pointers have raised outward. The colors are more discreet than previous pure colors. They have no blur, shadow or halo. Now it's beatiful, discreet and more elegant.

  • 2013 Jun v0.1- Initial release.

     more bright?

Nice theme and I really appreciate to have "inter" sizes (original oxygen only knows tiny 24 and huge 48 but I would prefer something between 32 and 36). But the colors are very dull and dark. What I miss is a nice bright orange like the Vibrant Orange (Tango) oxygen cursor. Maybe you could make alternative theme like this but with brighter colors?

Janet: I am sorry but until today I saw your comment about my +OxygenE mouse theme. And my answer is yes, of course I can do it brighter. I think I'll do just using orange color.
    Thank you.

You only have to change the cursor size. The default size is 32 pixels, and is associated with the color green, 33 for yellow, 34 for red, 35 for blue, 36 for aqua, 37 for purple.

Please follow the installation instructions in http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Alkano?content=158776.
    Thanks for commenting.
